The general term of innovation is used to refer to the development and the implementation of new ideas, new devices, new products and new processes. For this, it is assimilated to creativity and originality, creativity being the tendency to generate or recognize ideas, alternatives or possibilities that may be useful in solving problems, communicating and entertaining, while originality is considered the quality of being new and different in a good and appealing way.
As for the specific topic of organizational innovation, it is strictly linked to training and development. In fact, in such organizations as companies and firms innovation is implemented by training activities (at least a certain kind of training) and leads to a development of both human resources and the organization itself.
APRESO deals with the themes of innovation, from the point of view of both research (as shown by publications on the matter) and consultency, in case individuals, groups and organizations are in need of and interested in courses (training, counselling, coaching etc.) leading them towards the generation of new ideas, new devices, new products and new processes.
